EU Projects

The Roma Adult Education Centre Burgenland (Roma Volkshochschule Burgenland) is actively engaged in European cooperation projects that aim to promote educational equity, social participation, and the inclusion of Rom*nja communities on a European level.
At the core of these efforts lies the development and implementation of educational programmes that foster intercultural exchange, open up new perspectives, and provide professional development for educators in the field of inclusive education. These projects create valuable spaces for shared learning, dialogue, and the acquisition of forward-looking skills.
A particular focus is placed on cooperation with Rom*ja-led organisations across Europe. Transnational dialogue enables the exchange of good practices, the building of sustainable networks, and the joint development of strategies to improve educational opportunities and make the lived realities of Rom*nja communities more visible and empowered.
Through these international partnerships, innovative approaches emerge that promote self-determination and identity while combating discrimination, stigmatisation, and structural disadvantage – both in education and in society as a whole.
This work is supported by projects co-funded through the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

TC "Think cOOl, think grEEn"
The training course "Think cOOl, think grEEn" (KA153-YOU-000175006) in Șuncuiuș (Romania) in August 2024 aimed to raise awareness of the ecological issues we all are facing in our communities and inform and equip the 20 youth Workers and stakeholders with new green tools to use in youth work, education and organization work. A set of 25 metaphoric "Green cards" was created during the project containing views, collage art and opinions of the participants and aims to be used in youth activities and a starting point for "green" debates and discussions and are available for download here.
