ERASMUS+
Project no°: KA210-ADU-29A21E50
The main objective of the project is to equip adult education with new methods for the inclusion of ethnic minorities (e.g. Roma, refugees and migrants). Through intercultural exchange and the active involvement of the target group, their cultural heritage and the positive influences on the majority population through various possibilities of digital storytelling will be brought to the fore.

Project objectives & content
Our Art MINDS project has been successfully completed – and the results speak for themselves.
At the center stands the interactive online platform art-minds.eu
: a unique “cabinet of curiosities” with 30 digital stories that creatively highlight the cultural heritage of Roma, people with migration backgrounds, and those with refugee experiences. With videos, narratives, photos, and multimedia formats, this digital museum not only served as a key resource during the project but will also remain accessible in the long term – continuing to foster education, dialogue, and exchange.
Alongside the website, valuable handbooks and multilingual studies were produced, providing educators, cultural institutions, and interested audiences with innovative methods for digital and intercultural learning.
Another highlight were the final events and exhibitions in Austria, Portugal, and Slovenia: festivals, discussions, workshops, and presentations brought the results to life and gathered more than 285 participants – far exceeding the original plan.
The project not only strengthened the digital competences of adult educators, but also gave minorities a voice, built confidence, and made their cultural contributions visible to a wide public.
Conclusion: Art MINDS has created sustainable resources, strengthened European networks, and demonstrated how digital storytelling can build bridges between cultures.

This report presents the results of the ArtMINDS project, which explored the cultural influences and traditions of minority communities in Burgenland (Austria), Slovenia and Madeira (Portugal). Through historical and contemporary case studies, the report highlights how minority cultures have enriched local languages, arts, music, cuisine, and social life. The aim is to foster intercultural dialogue, appreciation of cultural heritage, and inclusion through digital storytelling.
